Privacy Policy
unpluggd phone · Last updated August 11, 2026
unpluggd phone is an Android launcher and digital-wellbeing app published by Unpluggd. This policy explains how the app handles information on your device. The app does not require an account, display advertising, use analytics or crash-reporting services, or operate a developer server.
Information the app accesses
The app accesses the following information only to provide its features:
- Installed-app information: app names, icons, package names, and available launcher activities. This lets the app show your app drawer, favorites, hidden apps, and blocking choices.
- App-usage information: the apps used on your device and their foreground-use duration. This powers screen-time views and app-blocking features.
- Notification content, if you enable notification filtering: the sending app’s package name and the notification title and text. This is used to temporarily hold and replay notifications that you choose to block. Notification filtering is optional and requires your explicit Android permission.
- Your app choices: launcher preferences, favorite and hidden apps, blocking schedules, notification-filter rules, widget settings, and feature settings.
- Purchase status: if you buy or restore a premium feature, the app uses Google Play Billing to determine whether the purchase is active.
How information is used and stored
The information listed above is used only to operate the features you select. It is stored locally on your device in the app’s private storage. The app excludes this local data from Android cloud backup. We do not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share this information with our servers or other third parties.
Google Play processes payments and related purchase information when you make an in-app purchase. Google’s handling of that information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Retention and deletion
Local settings, usage records, and app-management choices remain on your device until you change them, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the app. Temporarily held notification content is removed when it is replayed or cleared, and is also removed when you clear the app’s storage or uninstall the app. Because unpluggd phone has no user accounts and does not maintain a developer server, there is no separate server-side account or data to delete.
Permissions
Android may ask you to grant permissions or special access for features such as usage access, notification access, display-over-other-apps access, notifications, alarms, and launcher functionality. You can decline or revoke optional access in Android Settings; related features will not work without it.
Children’s privacy
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children or send personal information to the developer. If you are a parent or guardian, you can remove locally stored app data by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling the app.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app’s data practices change. The current version will always be available at this URL, with its update date shown above.
